Where Do I Hit The Golf Ball To Produce Straight Golf Shots?

where do i hit the golf ballFrequently, I am asked the question: where do I hit the golf ball?

Unless the person qualifies what he or she means when asking about where do I hit the golf ball, I really don’t know how to respond.

If the inquiry is where about on the face of the club should I hit the ball, the answer would be on its sweet spot.

There is no better golf swing tip.

If you do not return the sweet spot of your club face squarely to your ball at impact, you not only will you lose considerable distance but you also will have difficulty producing straight golf shots.

For example, if you were to hit the ball off the of heel of your club face instead of  hitting the ball squarely with its sweet spot to otherwise produce a straight ball flight, the swing arc of your club face most likely would bottom-out late and you would produce either a slice or a pull.

On the other hand, if you were to hit the ball off  the toe of your club face instead of  hitting the ball squarely with the sweet spot to otherwise produce a straight golf shot,  the swing arc of your club face most likely would bottom-out early and you would produce a hook or a push.

In either of such cases, you would not only lose considerable distance but, in addition, would mishit your golf shot, completely

Always determine where the sweet spot is located on the face of your club, whether an iron or wood, even if you need help from a professional instructor and strive to deliver the sweet spot of the club face squrely to your ball each swing.

This alone will dramatically improve your golf swing.

If the inquiry about where to hit the golf ball is intended to mean what part of the fairway or green the ball should be hit, a different response is required.

Numerous factors com into play when attempting to answer this question, such as the location of any hazards between the ball and the target, on what side of the fairway are any obstacles located, the direction and stength of any wind conditions, the lie of the ball and so on?

However, as to the answer to the question, “where do I hit the golf ball?’ in terms of what part of the club face should contact the ball at impact ,the answer is simple: the sweet spot, for sure.
