STRAIGHT GOLF SWING: SET YOUR CLUB FACE SQUARE AT THE COMPLETION OF YOUR BACK SWING

straight golf swingThere are two ways to execute a straight golf  swing.

One way to execute a straight golf swing is to lock-in a square club face alignment during your set up proceedings and then deliver the club face squarely to the ball at impact. The second way to hit a straight golf shot is to manipulate the club face during the golf swing to deliver a square club face to the ball at impact.

In either case, a true indicator of whether a golfer is going to deliver the club face squarely to the ball at impact is when the club face is squarely aligned at the completion of the back swing. If the club face is aligned squarely at the completion of back swing, all that is required is to allow the club face to return to the ball without attempting to manipulate the club face  during the down swing in any way.

If you have set your club face squarely at the completion of your back swing, you will be able to increase your club head speed during your down swing.

A recent golf article also discusses other golf methods to increase club head speed. A portion of this article  reads as follows:

“If you feel you can produce a lot of club head speed, but aren’t getting the distance, it could be due to your position at impact.

The position of your spine as you swing down to the ball gives an indication of whether you are utilising your potential power.

A fault when looking to gain extra power is to throw your body towards the target. This result is transferring weight onto the left side too early and wasting all the built-up power.

You need to be aware of the posotion of your spine and avoid throwing your body towards the target. Avoid that and it will improve your weight transfer and unleash the potential power. ”

Set your club face squarely at the completion of your back swing and allow your club face to return reflexively to your ball during your down swing and, increase your club speed.

This precisely is how to execute a straight golf swing.
