Best Golf Lessons: Maintain The Same Spine Angle During Your Golf Swing

golf swing tipsThere is but little doubt that one of the best golf lessons is to maintain the same spine angle throughout your golf swing.

The reason why maintaining the same spine angle during your golf swing is one of the best golf lessons is that otherwise you will sway off your ball at some point in your swing and mishit your golf shot.

Here is a portion of a recent article that echos the same golf swing instructions.

“ Spine Angle. Try to maintain a consistent spine angle. If you fail to do this, then on your downswing you will be forced to try to get your body back to the same position it was in at address, and with everything else going on in the golf swing, that can be a tough thing to do. So make life easier on yourself, and keep your spine angle consistent throughout your swing.” Read more…http://www.streetarticles.com/golf/simple-golf-swing-review-check-out-these-5-golf-tips.

I would suggest there are three discipline you can apply to maintain the same spine angle during your golf swing. Indeed, you may want to incorporate these three disciplines into your swing thoughts.

First, keep your left heel planted firmly to the surface during your golf swing. Aside from Bubba Watson, you rarely observe professional golfers lifting their left heels during their swing. Most have discovered long ago that it is difficult to maintain the same alignment and path of the club face during the golf swing if they lift their left heelsl even slightly.

The second suggested discipline is to maintain eye contact with the ball from the beginning of the golf swing all the way through impact. It is much more difficult to sway off the ball if you maintain eye contact with the ball through impact.

Thirdly, keep your head relatively steady during your golf swing.

If you keep your left heel planted from the beginning of your swing until your ball is struck and, at the same time, maintain eye contact with your ball throughout your swing, your head should remain relatively stable.

However, these three disciplines will not help you hit your ball straight unless you first lock-in a square club face alignment before you begin your swing.
